Apple has had its share of stock shortages ever since it launched the original iPhone. Each and every mobile device running the iOS has faced some or the other supply constraints and the iPad 2 is just one of them. The iPad 2 made launched acrossUS / UK in March and ever since then it has reached over 35 countries, including Japan, Korea and India.
In India we saw that most stores ran out of 3G versions within hours, so its no surprise that South Korea is seeing a supply constraint as well.
SK Telecom and KT, both carriers selling iPad 2 in Korea have suspended online sales due to ‘depleted stocks’. We are sure in coming weeks stocks would flow there, but we wonder what would the situation be in coming months with the situation in Japan being uncertain.
A lot of tech spares are sourced from Japan and Apple is no exception to the rule. For now, long lines for the iPad 2 continues globally.
The pricing of the iPad 2 In Korea starts at ? 640,000 and goes up to ? 1,039,000.
